Ana Vergara

Drawing

Ana Vergara (b. Colombia) fragments and distorts the material culture of domestic and urban landscapes through her practice. Her work addresses how immigration and forcefully rapid changes in her community impact her sense of identity and memory. To visually describe this impact, she works repetitively while allowing slight shifts within the works’ iterations, giving way for loss and changes in information.
